To whom it may concern

Today I had some questions about a TV I just bought and thought I would go
into Lakes to see if they could help me with my problem.

When I entered the store a young gentleman named Howard approached me to ask
if he could help. I explained my situation about the television's picture
breaking up. He had given me some answers which was very helpful but went on
to say that Justin was the man to ask as he was the one most knowledgable in
'that' area.....

Well, to make a long story short I was very, very pleased of the service I
received there. Justin had taken the time to answer my questions to the
fullest and in the terminology I could understand. Well done Justin!! and
Howard too..... I will certainly recommend Lakes to people when shopping for
a television and when it comes time for me to purchase a television I will
go to Lakes first.....

Well done management for hiring people who are knowledgable and personable
like them......

I am writing to you to express the pleasure it is to deal with your people, both in the store at Tilly's Lane, and the gentlemen who deliver and service the products in our home.

The shop people never tire of an older person going in and out trying to make a decision on the best TV for us, and are quite happy to demonstrate time and again, regardless of what must appear to be sheer indecision! (It is)

I am including everyone at the shop as individual names escape me, although I recognise the faces, over many months we my wife and I, must have dealt with all the staff who run the store, and have never been put off by over enthusiastic pressure to purchase but always they have been attentive and gracious even though they may have told us many times before about the same product.

The gentlemen who deliver the equipment set it up and show us how to operate it never show any exasperation at what must be a thankless task, trying to show us older persons who must appear to have an absolute inability to grasp the finer details of the controllers, they must have the patience of Job!

As they never fail to answer our ratht;r obtuse questions never show any impatience and are prepared to show how to combine the various components that we have to achieve the best results, and they usually have to suffer the attentions of our staffie who regards all visitors as her personal playmates, but she never seems to distract them from the work they are doing!

It is somewhat unfortunate that we have suffered a few hiccups with the TV s but no reflection on your staff or your store, just modem technology, but it has given us an insight to the more positive attitudes of the workforce contrary to what the media would espouse in this day and age.

We would like to say that as the experiences we have encountered with your staff have encouraged us to use your store and return for any further equipment we wish to purchase in the future, and would like you to pass on our gratitude and pleasure that we have for those experiences and hope to have further dealings in the near future,

I have just taken delivery of 2 televisions and a blue ray player.
I must say the gentleman in your Wycombe Branch was superb. He made everything easy to understand and was just perfect in his approach - not pushy/gave us space the sort of approach that made you feel at ease and all my 'silly girlie' questions were answered in a way that was understood without me feeling 'silly'.
This then leads to the 2 delivery guys who came in set up, cleared and explained everything - very good communication leaving saying "if you have any questions do get in touch".
You know what? Forget John Lewis, Lakes is the way to go!!!

A casual enquiry last Saturday which combined with his attention and assistance has led to my buying Sonos products from you.
I'm quite happy to complain loudly if I get poor service. However, this should be tempered with feedback for good service.

I write to say what an exceptional level of service I received from your Marlow store. I made two telephone calls to the store prior to my visit (to ask lots of question about the range of TV’s on offer and the best options) on both occasions the sales assistant, Luke, was extremely helpful, patient, knowledgeable and polite. Despite the long gap between telephone calls (a matter of weeks) he remembered the earlier call.

When I subsequently visited the store he was able to make the buying experience a pleasure - despite the store being very busy. I noticed that his colleague was dealing with his customer to a similar high level and I must say I was amazed that there still exists such excellent service in a retail outlet. My appreciation of the calibre of your staff continued when the delivery men installed the TV and table to Maidenhead and kindly moved the existing TVs into another room.
Well done to Luke and to Lakes.

As it stands right now, I can't thank you enough for your recommendation. Never before have I seen such a beautiful picture, not just from Blu-ray, but just about anything coming through this V20 TV. I am gobsmacked actually. The level of detail and blacks is truly incredible. It's only been on for a few hours in THX mode, but I am seriously impressed so far. I had an element of regret when the Sony was boxed up earlier, but not anymore! Even the internet side of things. It's so much better thought out than the Sony and even the HDMI integration works much smother. I was concerned that the audio switching would not work so well, but it does in fact work much better than the Sony, even though I had two Sony items connected! Far better control over the AV receiver volume, no sudden jumps in level, very smooth. It also remembers my settings when switching between the HDMI input and the internet. The sound quality from the SPDIF to my ears is also far better. The Sony had some distortion problems to begin with which they seemed to fix in one of the firmware updates, but even after that it was bordering on overdrive with some content, not here. No marks or blemishes, just crisp detailed pictures. My home cinema experience has just become what I wanted it to be when I first purchased from Lakes back in December. No sound of expanding / contracting plastic, just a slight whir from the fans. I am so happy I can't tell you! Just been looking at pictures from my Vegas trip a while back. Some of the shots of the strip on this screen makes me feel like I'm actually there again. Unless something horrible happens, I think we can call this a case closed. I can't thank you and your colleagues enough for the time and effort put in to sorting this out for me. I can guarantee most other retailers would have laughed me off by now or just simply not be interested. I look forward to buying from Lakes again and will not hesitate to recommend you to anyone I come across in the future.

On Saturday evening 13th February our Sony TV died. On looking at your website I decided on the TV I wanted. A Panasonic TXP42G15B. As our local Aylesbury Store was closed on Sunday, I telephoned your Maidenhead Store. I spoke to Mohammed who assured me this TV was a very good choice. I explained that my Monday lunchtime the following day grandchildren would be arriving for the week. He confirmed delivery would take place before lunchtime on Monday.

By 11 am the TV had been installed, set up and functions explained by your engineers, Gary and David. I have been very impressed with the service I have received from these 3 employees, who are surely a credit to your company.

In the not too distant future I hope to visit your Maidenhead Store with a view to adding a fancy Panasonic sound system to our new TV.

I just wanted to acknowledge the excellent customer service we received from David in your High Wycombe shop.

My wife and I following very informed help from David purchased a Humax Freesat+ Box.
Uufortunately after aerial installation the box was faulty. This was replaced, without quibble. The aerial installer was unable to set it up for a week or so. We rang and asked David for help and he kindly agreed to come out and set it up personally.

It is so uncommon to experience such excellent and personal service that i wanted to record our appreciation and thanks.

My Boyfriend and I came into your shop yesterday morning looking to purchase a TV, may I say that the staff in the shop greeted us with a lovely smile and said good morning, we then just had a wonder (There was no pressure put on us at all), my brother then asked a question and the information the chap (Dan) provided us with was excellent, he was so informative and very very helpful, at this stage we advised that we are just price checking and wanted to compare notes on TV's etc.We did leave and went to other shops to make our enquires, but must say the Customer Service we didn’t receive from other outlets bought us back to your shop, again greeted with a smile no pressure, Dan was able to answer all our questions again and was very informative.We did purchase a TV from Panasonic,Tillys Lane, Staines Panasonic 42" Plasma,£599.99, my brother is picking it up today from the warehouse (as that suited us better).Please please pass on our sincere THANKS to Dan for just being himself very relaxed, informative and happy to assist knew all the answers, was most impressed and would definitely recommend you to my friends.
I have never been into your shop before but what a excellent experience, I hope that this gentleman goes on to further his career in your business, (his customer service is something very very rare in this day & age.)

I purchased a TV and 2 DVD players from your Marlow branch a couple of years ago and at the time I chose Lakes, as opposed to any other retailer, as I wanted to support a local business (I live In Marlow) and I was extremely pleased with the help given to my wife and I by Luke Macfarren.Consequently when I was looking to purchase a new TV, a home cinema system and a SKY HD box recently I had no hesitation in paying Luke a visit again.I am delighted to say that the service from Luke has once again been first class with absolutely nothing being too much trouble even though I'm sure my wife was a bit of a pain as she kept changing her mind! In addition I would like to say how impressed I was with Martin Razey (and Ben) who installed the system. Martin sorted out a problem which I'm sure many other installers would have walked away from. As a result of these recent dealings with Lakes I will continue to support your business and I will have no hesitation in recommending your company to family and friends.
